Haniya Javed

Haniya is an independent journalist and 2024-25 Bruno Fellow, specializing in investigative reporting on human rights, environmental issues, and socio-political challenges. With stories published in outlets like Earth Island Journal, OZY, and Asia Times, Haniya has covered Afghan refugees post-US withdrawal, wildlife trafficking in Pakistan, and South Asian labor migration. Skilled in multimedia journalism, she has contributed to Uncertain Journeys: Labour Migration from South Asia and worked as a translator for the Global Investigative Journalism Network.
