John Shattuck is Professor of Practice in Diplomacy at the Tufts University Fletcher School, where he specializes in transatlantic affairs, and former Senior Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School Carr Center for Human Rights Policy. He has also served in the U.S. Department of State and as U.S. Ambassador to the Czech Republic.
