Sophiko Vasadze is Coda Story’s Creative Director and co-founder of the ZEG Tbilisi Storytelling Festival.
An award-winning documentary filmmaker and executive producer, Sophiko brings over a decade of broadcast journalism experience and deep expertise in multimedia storytelling. She is the recipient of the EU Press Prize for her documentary on Iraqi refugees and has been shortlisted for several other international journalism awards.
Before joining Coda Story, Sophiko served as Executive Producer at Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty’s Georgian Service, where she also anchored the daily news. She began her career at the Georgian Public Broadcaster, where she spent over seven years producing and reporting. At Coda, she previously worked as a video producer, helping shape the organization’s visual journalism. As Creative Director, she leads Coda’s storytelling strategy across platforms and formats.
