Two Major Trump Critics Spread Sensational Stories About the President From a Hoax Source

Two prominent critics of President Donald Trump spread false allegations about him on Twitter, according to the Guardian. Louise Mensch and Claude Taylor tweeted and retweeted sensational claims that turned out to be lies fed to them by a hoaxer claiming to work in law enforcement. The hoaxer said that she “acted out of frustration over the ‘dissemination of fake news’ by Taylor and Mensch,” reported the Guardian.

Among several fake stories was a claim that Trump’s modeling agency, now inactive, is “under investigation by New York authorities for possible sex trafficking,” wrote the Guardian.
